Prison Ministry

Providing hope, faith, and spiritual guidance to men and women behind bars.

The Heart of the Ministry

Seeing Souls, Not Inmates

When I walk into a jail, I don't just see inmates โ€” I see sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers with stories worth telling. I share hope because I've seen how grace can heal even the deepest wounds.

My prayer is that when I leave, the seeds of faith we've planted together will keep growing, bringing peace and purpose far beyond those jail walls.

From time to time, I also receive requests to meet with parents, helping them reconnect with their loved ones for encouragement and healing. These special meetings require permission, but when granted, they create powerful moments of restoration and hope.

Deep Sea Fishing โ€” Jail & Prison Ministry

"Launch out into the deep..." โ€” Luke 5:4

Jail and prison ministry is the perfect place to go deep sea fishing โ€” not for fish, but for souls. Just as Jesus called Simon to cast his net into deeper waters, He calls us to step beyond the shorelines of comfort and into the depths of human need. Inside those prison walls, I am stripped of every illusion of control. I must trust God completely and lean on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me.

There, among "the least of these," I find the greatest opportunities to share the message that changes everything: "You must be born again." (John 3:7)

Inmates, often forgotten by the world, encounter the radical, unconditional love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. They hear the truth that "the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." (Luke 19:10) They discover that "in Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace." (Ephesians 1:7)

Because the truth is, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) But we all have the right to be free โ€” not just physically, but spiritually. And "if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36)

And when we get free, we have the power to stay free.

This is the heart of the ministry: winning souls for Jesus Christ. It's not glamorous. It's not easy. But it is holy. It is necessary. And it is deeply, eternally rewarding.
